With a thickness of 5 cm, it provides your mattress with support and softness. If it is not subject to significant damage, the duvet can safely be washed once a year before being stored; frequent washing is not necessary to keep it fresh. For optimal performance, we recommend shaking the duvet often and gently, exposing it to the air to restore volume and loft to the down.
If you notice dust on the surface, we recommend removing it with a soft brush.
- We recommend not shaking the duvet vigorously to avoid breaking the feathers inside.
- The recommended washing temperature is 40°; moderate temperatures help prevent damage to the outer fabric.
- Dry cleaning at a laundry is permitted, provided the washing instructions are followed carefully.
- Use mild detergents and plenty of water to ensure that every trace of soap is removed.
- Avoid using chlorine-based detergents, which can irreparably damage the down.
- Use the spin cycle to remove as much water as possible.
- Tumble-drying at medium/low temperatures is permitted. We recommend drying duvets outdoors in an upright position. Always keep duvets in the shade to prevent the outer fabric from turning yellow.
- Use or store the duvet only when it is completely dry.
- We recommend storing the duvet in a dry place inside a cotton bag. Zenoni & Colombi provides a practical dust bag with its duvets for storing them.
- Do not store the down duvet in plastic or vacuum bags to avoid damaging the down filling.
