Oeko-Tex Certification

Health Protection

The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is the best-known certification in the textile sector, created to safeguard consumers' health, granted to those who pass tests for harmful substances. When a product bears the oeko-tex symbol, it means that every part of it (thread, padding, button, zipper, print, coating, and packaging) has passed tests for harmful substances and is therefore safe for humans.

Subscription to the certification is legally binding, so it cannot be forged. To obtain it, several tests must be carried out on the products, checking nearly 300 substances, conducted by Oeko-tex partner institutes, which will verify:

  • the absence of substances banned by law;
  • the correct use of substances regulated by law;
  • the absence of the main chemical substances known to be harmful to health but not yet regulated;
  • that the products meet the parameters for health protection.

Zenoni & Colombi offers feather products exclusively with Oeko-tex certification, to guarantee the consumer the use of a product safe for health and skin.

Environmental Protection

Last but not least, the Oeko-tex certification is also a valuable aid for protecting our planet. Chemicals, such as fertilizers used in cotton production, have a well-known environmental impact in the textile sector, and it is important to limit their use.

Synonym of Transparency

Thanks to Oeko-Tex, every company can demonstrate the transparency and commitment it puts into making items safe for human health and the environment.
